Asian handicap rules of settlement

Following a few requests we lately received on our support center, you’ll find below a brief description of Asian Handicap markets.

Read about the opportunities offered by these specific markets and how your bets will be settled once the outcome of a football match is known.

Asian Handicap betting markets are perfect for football bettors looking for an alternative to the more traditional 1X2. If you choose the selection “Asian Handicap 0“, your bet is the equivalent of Draw No Bet (stake refunded in case of a draw).

If you bet on Chelsea -1.5, you need Chelsea to win by 2 goals or more, otherwise you’ll lose your bet.

Chelsea -2 means your bet will be refunded if Chelsea wins by exactly two goals. Therefore, you are predicting a very comfortable win by the score of 3-0, 4-0, 4-1, etc.

When you bet on selections such as +0.75, your stake is automatically divided equally and placed as 2 separate bets. This means that half of your stake is on the +0.5 handicap and the other half is on the +1.0 handicap.

If you bet on Arsenal +1.25, this handicap states that half of your bet goes on Arsenal to win or draw, with a refund if Arsenal lose by exactly 1 goal; and the other half of your bet on Arsenal to win, draw, or lose by less than 1.5 goals.
If the final score is Arsenal – Chelsea: 0-1, half your bet would be refunded due to draw, the second half would win. If Arsenal is defeated 0-2, you would lose the totality of your bet. Your bet will be paid in full in case of a draw, or if Arsenal pulls out the win.

Examples of bets if Chelsea wins 1-0 (stake: 100 €):
-Back Chelsea -1 goal @ 2.00 = 100 € refunded
-Back Chelsea -1.25 goals @ 2.30 = 50 € refunded / 50 € lost
-Back Chelsea -0.75 goals @ 1.70 = 50 € refunded / 35 € won (50 * 0.70)
-Lay Chelsea -1.25 goals @ 2.30 = 50 € refunded / 38.45 € won

Important: always double check the rules of settlements before placing bets on such markets.
