Trainer, Richard Hannon runs two in the race, Baltic Knight and Emell.
They met each other at Haydock a fortnight ago over 7 furlongs, Baltic Knight wore blinkers for the first time there and ran well to be fourth, Emell was ¾ length behind.

Baltic Knight gave the impression that a return to a mile would suit and may build on that effort with the headgear retained. Baltic Knight won this race two years ago and the booking of Jamie Spencer plus the early support suggests a big run is expected. Current favourite Wannabe Yours disappointed last time out failing to complete a four timer.
Our second back bet is Indalo Return in the 16:45 at Hexham. Heavily supported this morning from an early 7.00 in to 4.70.
The Philip Kirby trained gelding ran out of gas over 3 miles over course and distance finishing a respectable third last time out has been dropped 3lb’s for that effort and running over 2m 4f today could be the answer in an open but weak handicap chase. Very little support for any of the other runners and we should be taking notice of the move.
Finally our lay of the day is Micklegate Run in the 2m NHF race at 17:20 at Hexham. Micklegate Run made a promising winning start to his career and may not defy a penalty today, he has drifted from 2.30 out to 3.10 this morning.
There are three interesting runners in the field that could make life difficult for the uneasy favourite. Australasia has run well on all three starts finishing runner up twice over course and distance. Zandino has cheekpieces fitted today after starting as joint favourite on its last outing and should improve. Sheriffs Star is making his debut and should be noted in the market for any support.
